Our Services
Diagnostic Evaluation
All of our patients undergo a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to establish a Multi-Axial DSM-IV-TR diagnosis, including identification of current and past mental health symptoms, as well as other important factors to developing a treatment plan. Our assessment process include a systematic inquiry into the mode of onset, and duration of psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders over time, a history of any current or past psychiatric treatment, a comprehensive general medical history, including mental status and a complete family and social history, including information on functional impairment.
Treatment Planning
Generally, our treatment plan is developed within the second visit following the patient psychiatric evaluation. The focus of treatment planning is to identify the patient’s presenting problem, establish realistic goals for treatment, outline methods of achieving these goals and estimate the time it will take to achieve these goals. Each treatment plan is reviewed and developed with the patient’s participation.
